Magistrate court has no judge for four months, 15,000 people suffering in Amtali

The Amtali Senior Judicial Magistrate Court has been without a judge for the past four months. At least 15,000 people involved in the court case have suffered. The victims demanded that the judge be given a speedy court.
It has been reported that 2,700 cases are ongoing in Amtali Upazila Senior Judicial Magistrate Court. At least 15 thousand people of Amtali and Taltali upazilas are involved in that case. Judge Md. Arifur Rahman was transferred on September 12 last year. Since then the post of judge in Amtali Upazila Senior Judicial Magistrate Court is vacant. Barguna Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Md. Rakibul Hasan is managing Amtali Court case proceedings two days a week. There is a lot of confusion in the case proceedings. At least 15,000 people involved in the court case are suffering.
Some defendants in the case, who did not want to be named, said there was no judge in the court for the last four months. It is suffering a lot. He demanded that a judge be given to the court as soon as possible.
Syed Nuhu-ul Alam Nabeen, a young lawyer of the Amtali Senior Judicial Magistrate Court, said that there is no regular judge in the court for the last four months. A judge from Barguna conducts court proceedings two days a week. The customers have to suffer a lot.
Advocate Mohsin Mia, president of Amtali Bar Office, said that at least 15,000 people involved in the case are facing problems in the judicial system due to the absence of a judge in the court. He demanded that a judge be given to the court quickly to control the proceedings.
No childhood vaccine in Amtali
In Amtali upazila, EPI activities are closed as the supply of 10 childhood disease vaccines has been stopped for two months. At least 4 thousand 8 hundred and 12 children families of the upazila are worried about this. The families of the affected children have demanded that the vaccine be provided quickly.
It is learnt that Amtali upazila has 4 thousand 812 children aged 0 (zero) to 18 months. Those children are officially given vaccines against pneumonia, polio, measles and rubella, tuberculosis, whooping cough, whooping cough, hepatitis-B, haemophilus, influenza-B and measles. The supply of nine types of vaccines except TT vaccine has been stopped for the past two months. The families of those children are suffering. Children's families are returning to the EPI center for vaccination. Children are at risk of spreading 10 diseases due to not being vaccinated. The children's families demanded the vaccine to be provided quickly.
Lipi Begum, the mother of the child Emon, said, 'I want vaccination to keep my child well. There is no vaccination at the EPI center. I am very worried about the baby.
Abdullah's mother Farzana Akhter said, I went to the hospital to vaccinate the child but returned without getting it. There are chances of my baby getting various diseases.
Nargis Akhter, Health Assistant of Charkhali Community Clinic of Kukua Union, said that children are not given vaccines from the upazila health complex. As a result, I cannot vaccinate children.
EPI Officer of Amtali Upazila Health Complex, Md. Abul Bashar said, TT vaccine supply is on.
Amtali Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ten Mong said that the supply of vaccine is currently stopped. I hope to get the vaccine by the end of this month or early next month.
