The 116th Jashne Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) was held at Betagi Darbar Astana Sharif in Rangunia, Chattogram, on Thursday with due religious solemnity. The event was organized to mark the 1,501st anniversary of the blessed arrival of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

The program was organized by Betagi Anjumane Rahmania under the guidance of its founder, Pir-e-Tariqat Qutb-e-Zaman Allama Maulana Muhammad Zillur Rahman Ali Shah (RA). The event followed the spiritual tradition established by Syedul Azam Hazrat Hafez Hakim Shah Muhammad Fazlur Rahman (RA), founder of Betagi Astana Sharif and a distinguished spiritual figure associated with the anti-British movement in the Indian subcontinent.

The day-long program was held in two sessions. The first session featured a Jashne Julus, or commemorative procession, from Betagi Astana Sharif to the shrine of Sultanul Arifeen Hazrat Ashraf Shah Balkhi (RA) at Kadulpur. Students and guardians of Betagi Rahmania Jameul Ulum Senior Madrasa, local residents, devotees and murids participated in the procession. Expatriate members and well-wishers also extended their support.

The motorcade began at Betagi Astana Sharif and passed through various important roads, including Betagi Champatali, Tinchaudia, Pomra Shantirhat, Kaptai Road, Pahartali and CUET, before reaching the shrine of Hazrat Ashraf Shah (RA) at Kadulpur.

The procession was led by Pir-e-Tariqat Maulana Muhammad Golamur Rahman Ashraf Shah (M.A.J.A.), Sajjadanasheen of Darbar-e-Betagi Astana Sharif, president of Betagi Anjumane Rahmania and founder-chairman of the Hijri New Year Celebration Council. He delivered speeches during both sessions of the program and led the concluding munajat.

The second session, a religious gathering, was held after Asr prayers and moderated by Maulana Arifur Rahman Rashed. Religious discussions were delivered by Hazratul Hajj Maulana Muhammad Sirajul Islam Chishti, Principal of Betagi Rahmania Jameul Ulum Senior Madrasa Allama Elias Noori, Vice-Principal Allama Jasim Uddin Abedi, Arabic Lecturer at Wajedia Alia Madrasa Allama Abdul Hai, Maulana Abu Jafar Maniki, Mufti Maulana Qutb Uddin of Narayanganj, Maulana Muhammad Abdus Shukur, Maulana Syed Junaid Qaderi, Maulana Tarequl Islam Al-Qaderi and Maulana Mahfuzul Haque Al-Qaderi.
Among those attending the program were Maulana Aminul Haque Al-Qaderi, eldest son of Allama Ghazi Sher-e-Bangla Azizul Haque Al-Qaderi (RA), Sajjadanasheen of Hathazari Darbar Sharif; Maulana Shahzada Syed Junurain; Shahzada Abul Qasem; Shahzada Ahmad Ullah Muhammad Ziaur Rahman Abu Shah; Shahzada Shah Ahsan Ullah (Shahchand); Shahzada Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman (Maulana); Shahzada Muhammad Obaidur Rahman (Patan Shah); and Shahzada Mohammad Aminul Haque Shah Hasan of Kadulpur Darbar Sharif, along with representatives of various other darbars.

Representatives and descendants of various spiritual centers, as well as prominent scholars of Ahl-e-Sunnat, also attended the event.

The speakers said that Allah Almighty sent the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as “Rahmatullil Alamin” — a mercy to all the worlds. His blessed arrival brought an end to the era of ignorance.

Pir-e-Tariqat Maulana Muhammad Golamur Rahman Ashraf Shah (M.A.J.A.) led the concluding munajat. Prayers were offered for peace, prosperity and development of the country and its people.
