Banned Chhatra League posters across N'ganj

Posters of the banned organization Chhatra League were found plastered across Narayanganj city. Overnight, these posters appeared on the walls of Government Tolaram College, Chashara, in front of Government Women’s College, and even at the main entrance of the District Commissioner’s office.

The sudden appearance of Chhatra League posters has angered locals. They claim that though Sheikh Hasina fled the country, her allies remain in hiding, waiting for opportunities to reemerge.

Farhana Manik Muna, a leader of the anti-discrimination student movement and president of the Narayanganj District Student Federation, said, “Even after six months since the brutal massacre, justice has not been served. This allows them to show their audacity.”

Ata-e-Rabbi Chowdhury, former vice-president and current president candidate of Narayanganj District Chhatra Dal, remarked, “The banned Chhatra League’s actions demonstrate that they only operate under the cover of darkness, much like their history of election fraud. If the administration takes stronger action, they will remain on the back foot.”

Abdul Momin, former president of Jamaat-e-Islami's student wing in Narayanganj, said, “The reappearance of Chhatra League indicates the administration’s weakness. This group must be identified and dealt with firmly.”
