DU Leather Engineering Institute provides scholarships, research awards

Educational scholarships and research awards were given to meritorious students of Dhaka University Leather Engineering and Technology Institute on Monday.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan was present as the chief guest and presented scholarship checks to the students at a ceremony organized at the institute's auditorium.
These scholarships and research awards were provided with funding from the institute's alumni.
Under the chairmanship of Prof Dr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Director of the Institute of Leather Engineering and Technology, University Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed and Institute Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Muttalib spoke as special guests. Tariqul Islam Khan spoke on behalf of the alumni.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the scholarship recipients. He said, despite various adversities, our teachers, researchers and students are conducting education and research activities with great sincerity.
Such scholarships and honors provide recognition and encouragement to the talent and thinking of the researchers. He urged the students of the institute to take the country's leather industry forward through cutting-edge research. In this regard, the Vice-Chancellor assured all possible cooperation from the university administration.
