The fourth meeting of the day-long Central Coordination Committee (CCC) of Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CReLIC) established by LGED was held recently, says a press release.

The Green Climate Fund, the German Development Bank and the Government of Bangladesh are working to establish a Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CReLIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming (CRIM) project, which aims to develop, design, implement and evaluate local infrastructure projects for climate change resilience. It will help mainstreaming.

LGED Chief Engineer Mohammad Ali Akhtar Hossain was present as the chief guest in the meeting. In the speech of the chief guest, he said, we all have a big dream about CReLIC. CReLIC will become a complete knowledge repository of LGED. LGED will do whatever it takes to popularize CReLIC as a center of excellence.

Reports on CReLIC's Knowledge Management System (KMS), Annual Adaptation Award, Organizational Development Plan and Cyclone Shelter/Bridge Design were presented at the meeting. Those who attended the meeting expressed their commitment to continue cooperation to further establish CReLIC by giving their valuable opinions and suggestions.

The meeting was attended by Gopal Krishna Debnath, Additional Chief Engineer, Rural Infrastructure Development and Management Unit of LGED, Md. Anwar Hossain, Additional Chief Engineer, Road and Bridge Maintenance Unit, Md. Abdul Hakim, Additional Chief Engineer and Director of CRILIC, Superintending Engineer (Planning) Md. Jasim Uddin, CRIM Project. Director Md Nazmul Hasan Chowdhury, CReLIC Executive Engineer Md Abdul Khalek, IDC- CReLIC Team Leader Dr. Daan Boom. Besides the supervising engineer of different units, project director, sub-project director, executive engineer, senior assistant engineer, assistant engineer, and consultants of different levels were present in the meeting.
