Gopalganj LGED honoured social worker Tapan Ghosh for self-funded public welfare works

The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Gopalganj has honoured social worker and YouTuber Tapan Ghosh in recognition of his standing by the common people by conducting various public welfare activities with his own funds.
Recently, at a function organized at LGED Gopalganj office, Executive Engineer Muhammad Rubaiyat Zaman presented a memento to Tapan Ghosh. He praised his social service activities and urged him to continue his involvement in public welfare work in the future.
It is known that Tapan Ghosh, a resident of Muksudpur Upazila of Gopalganj, has been doing various humanitarian and public welfare works for a long time, including cleaning roads, minor repairs of damaged roads, and installing tubewells to provide clean water in educational institutions, with his own funds. His initiatives have also garnered widespread praise on social media.
A video of Tapan Ghosh's social service activities recently came to the attention of Muhammad Rubaiyat Zaman, Executive Engineer of LGED Gopalganj. Later, he was invited to the LGED office to honor and encourage his work.
At the event, LGED presented Tapan Ghosh with a commemorative plaque, T-shirts, caps for his team, and financial assistance to support public welfare reform work.
After receiving the award, Tapan Ghosh said, "I have been working for the welfare of people for a long time with my own initiative and funding. This is the first time I have received such recognition and encouragement from a government organization. LGED Gopalganj has appreciated my work, which will inspire me to do more work in the future."
Meanwhile, as a token of gratitude, Tapan Ghosh gifted four trees to the LGED Gopalganj office premises. The attendees also appreciated this environmentally friendly initiative.
LGED Gopalganj officials said that if people who come forward for social service work are encouraged, human values and volunteer initiatives will further develop in the society. They expressed hope that people like Tapan Ghosh will inspire others to work for the welfare of the society.
