Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Federation’s Conference held in Rangpur

The bi-annual conference of Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Federation Rangpur Metropolitan and District Branches was held at the local town hall on Saturday.
Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, the Central Advisor of the Federation and Muhammad Golam Rabbani the Vice President of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Federation were present as chief guest and key speaker respectively.
Speaking as the Chief Guest at the conference, Mahbubur Rahman Belal said that workers are more deprived in the developing world. Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Federation is agitating for the realization of the just rights of workers. He said that in the anti-fascist dictatorship movement of July-August, workers along with students and the public also lost their lives in the movement. They are also one of the partners in this movement. Belal also said that workers are needed to build a society without discrimination and to achieve Islamic revolution.
In his speech as the key speaker the Central Committee Vice President Muhammad Golam Rabbani said that the perpetrators of the Logibaitha murder, the BDR murder, the Hefazat murder and the murder of July-August anti-fascist dictatorship movement should be given exemplary punishment. He said that all the closed mills and factories in the country should be immediately reopened and employment arrangements should be made for the workers and employees.
The conference was held under the chairmanship of Shariful Islam the President of the Shromik kollayan Federation Rangpur Metropolitan branch where, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Bangladesh Land and Port Workers' Union and the Assistant Regional Director of the Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Federation Rangpur-Dinajpur, Professor Abul Hashem Badal, the Joint General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Shromik Kollayan Federation Advocate Alamgir Hossain, the Chief Advisor of the Metropolitan City, Maulana ATM Azam Khan, the Metropolitan Advisor of the Metropolitan City Anwarul Haque Kajal, Moniruzzaman Jewel, Raihan Siraji and the newly elected Metropolitan President Advocate Kawsar Ali spoke on the occasion. Finally, the 35-member Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Federation Rangpur Metropolitan Branch was formed with Advocate Kawsar Ali as the President and Shahanat Ali as the General Secretary.
In the afternoon, the biennial conference of the Rangpur District Branch of the Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Federation was held at the same place. The conference was presided over by District President Principal Abdul Gani. Among others, the conference was addressed by the Chief Advisor of the Shromik Kollayan Federation Rangpur District Branch, Professor Golam Rabbani, Advisor Maulana Enamul Haque and District General Secretary Belal Abedin.
