Protest in front of Secretariat over cancellation of journalists' access

A family has protested against the cancellation of journalists' access with accreditation cards to the Bangladesh Secretariat.
They held a protest program and demonstration in front of the Secretariat on Saturday (December 28).
At the time, former Dhaka University student leader Abu Tayyab Habilder, along with his two children, delivered a protest speech in front of the National Press Club and the Secretariat.
He called for the withdrawal of the decision to cancel journalists' cards at the Secretariat. He also demanded the cooperation of journalists to uncover the real truth about who started the fire and why. The former Dhaka University student leader commented that the ban on journalists' entry instead of uncovering the real truth is an ominous sign.
It is worth noting that in a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on December 27, in order to increase the overall security of the Bangladesh Secretariat, all types of temporary (for private individuals) Secretariat entry passes, except for the permanent entry passes (Digital Access Control System) issued to officials and employees working there and the temporary entry passes issued to government officials and employees, were canceled.
The notification said that access to the Secretariat through accreditation cards issued to journalists is hereby canceled until further notice.
Since then, there has been widespread criticism regarding the matter.
