The newly* dissolved convening committee of Kalia Municipality Jubo Dal in Narail, convened by the committee's convener Md. Bakhtiar Hossain and Member Secretary Golam Mashrufa Paltu, held a press conference demanding full reinstatement.

They held the press conference at the Kalia Press Club Hallroom at 5 pm on Thursday.

In a written statement at the press conference, the convener of the dissolved committee Md. Bakhtiar Hossain said that the accusation that the district committee president and general secretary of the Jubo Dal dissolved our Kalia Municipality Jubo Dal committee is completely false and baseless.

In addition, when the Kalia Municipality Jubo Dal committee was approved, the Kalia Upazila Jubo Dal committee was formed at the same time. But to achieve someone's personal interests, the Kalia Municipality committee was dissolved while keeping the Upazila committee intact. This shows that a group has dissolved our committee to achieve their personal interests.

In this regard, Golam Moshrufa Paltu, member secretary of the recently dissolved Municipal Youth Committee, said, "Even if the moon has any flaws, there is no flaw in my politics. I have always been doing politics of clean image. During the previous government's tenure, I have repeatedly been imprisoned in several sabotage cases. I have always been doing nationalist politics from the streets." At the press conference, Md. Bakhtiar Hossain and Golam Moshrufa Paltu demanded the full restoration of the Kalia Municipal Youth Committee to the District Youth Committee President and General Secretary and the Central Youth Committee.

After the press conference, party leaders and activists took out a protest march around various streets of the city and ended up at the BNP office.

It is worth mentioning that in a press release signed by Narail District Jubo Dal President Md. Mashiur Rahman and General Secretary Haider Kabir Rubel on December 28 last year, the convener and member secretary of the Kalia Municipality Jubo Dal's convening committee were found to be involved in various irregularities and violations of party discipline, including activities against the organization. As the term of the said committee expired, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman dissolved the Kalia Municipality Jubo Dal committee to make the organization more dynamic and organizationally more effective in implementing the 31-point plan announced by the party.
