In Rajbari's Goalando, earthen pots have been placed on trees for free movement of birds, safe shelter and breeding. Birds will be saved from storm, rain and sun.

On Sunday noon, the convening committee member of Rajbari District Chhatra Dal started the work of placing these earthen pots on trees. This program was started with the theme 'Birds for Nature, Earthen Pots for Trees and Trees'.

It is known that pots have been placed on tall trees in different areas of Goalando upazila and railway stations for the safe shelter, protection and breeding of birds. Small holes have been made in the pots. Even if rain water enters it, it will fall through the holes below. Moreover, two big mouths are placed on both sides of the pot. As a result, the birds will not have any problem in getting in and out of the pot.

In this regard, bird lovers say, 'Protecting biodiversity is everyone's responsibility. If biodiversity is good, our environment will be good. We'll be fine too. By placing these pots, the birds will get a safe habitat.

Akib Sardar, Sujan Sekh, Anik Pramanik, Shubhrat Das, Shanta and others helped in planting pots on trees.

Journalist leader Helal Mahmud said, 'Such love for birds really surprised us. Everyone should come forward to protect birds in urban areas.

Fidel Chowdhury said, the pots have been placed for safe shelter of birds, protection of birds and laying of their eggs. It will save birds from storm, rain, sun. Birds can nest in the pots and breed. Birds will be saved from extinction.

Upazila Social Service Officer Ruhul Amin said, 'It is very nice to hear such love for birds. Everyone should be kind to animals to save the environment. Many will be inspired by this beautiful work.
