There are reports that cows are being stolen almost every night from the village of Manohardi. In the last one week, 15/20 cows have been stolen from Chalakchar and its neighboring villages. Out of this, 6 cows were stolen from one village on Sunday night. After talking to the victims, it was reported that the theft was organized.

6 cows were stolen from two houses in Manohardi's Chaktatardi village on Sunday night. On the night of January 5, three cows were stolen from the house of Tapan Chowkidar of the said village. Tapan Mandal said that the current market price of two cows is about 2 lakh taka.

On the same night, 2 buckin cows and 1 calf were also stolen from his neighbor Ruhu Mandal. He also suffered a loss of more than two lakh rupees. A week ago, his 2 oxen were stolen from the house of Saidur member of Chalakchar village in the dark of night. The current market value of the two oxen is said to be around one and a half lakh rupees. On the same night, his neighbor Kajal Rabidas also stole 2 Two cows are stolen. The market value of two cows is estimated to be Tk 1 lakh 20/30 thousand.

A few days ago, 6 cows were stolen from 4 houses in Jamalpur village of the upazila. 1 cow of Biru Debnath, 1 cow and 1 calf of Farid, 1 cow and 1 calf of Mr. Ali and Mainu Mia of the same village were stolen in one night. 1 milch cow with calf was stolen.
