Twelve students were awarded scholarships under the Professor Nazma Begum Trust Fund and Political Science Fellow Forum Trust Fund at Dhaka University.

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan was present as the chief guest in the meeting room adjacent to the Vice Chancellor's office on Monday and handed over the scholarship checks to the students.

Dhaka University Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Chairperson of the Department of Economics Prof. Masuda Yasmin, Chairperson of the Department of Political Science Prof Dr. Nasima Khatun, Retired Prof. of the Department of Economics Dr. Nazma Begum, Retired Professor of the Department of Political Science Md. Ferdous Hossain, Acting Registrar of Dhaka University Munshi Shams Uddin Ahmed, one of the donors of Political Science Satirth Forum Md. Mizanur Rahman were present.

6 students studying in different years in the Department of Economics were awarded Prof. Najma Begum Trust Fund Scholarship and 6 students studying in the first year in the Department of Political Science were awarded Political Science Satirth Forum Trust Fund Scholarship. The recipients of the scholarship of Professor Najma Begum Trust Fund are - Sadia (1st year), Moin Uddin (1st year), Snoha Biswas Memory (2nd year), Md. Achid Rahman (3rd year), Rahima Akhtar (4th year), Md. Sumon Molya (M.S.S). The recipients of the scholarship of Political Science Satirth Forum Trust Fund are - Ratul Ahmed, Md. Furkan Ali, Farzana Akhter, Sohan Sheikh, Md. Jinnah Government, Kanak Chandra Barman.

Thanking the donors of the trust fund, Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan said, "You have taken the initiative to form the trust funds because you have deep affection for the university. These initiatives unite us. At the same time, they teach us to live with the society. We feel honored to be able to organize these events."

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan also said, "We are trying to organize the university's trust funds. We are trying to increase the size and amount. So that more students can be brought under the umbrella of these funds. We are also trying to activate the alumni association."
