
15-day training workshop for DU teachers ends

The 15-day training workshop titled ‘Training Program: Foundation Certificate in University Teaching and Learning’, organized by the Dhaka University Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), concluded on Monday at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the workshop and distributed prizes and certificates among the participants.
The closing ceremony of the workshop, chaired by IQAC Director Prof Dr. M. Rezaul Islam, was attended by Bangladesh University Grants Commission Member Prof Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha and Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury as special guests. Additional Director Prof Dr. Md. Shah Emran conducted the program. Additional Director Prof Dr. Syed Shahriar Rahman proposed the vote of thanks.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasized on organizing such workshops regularly to enhance the professional skills and capabilities of Dhaka University teachers. He said, "Our main goal is to improve the quality of education and research. Everyone has to work together to achieve this goal."
It is mentioned that 49 teachers from different departments participated in the workshop.
