Divisional final football tournament held in Rangpur

Gaibandha district team in boys' group and Panchagarh district team in girls' group emerged champions in the final of the Rangpur divisional football tournament.
They achieved this glory in the final game of both groups held at Rangpur Stadium last Wednesday.
In the final game of the National Gold Cup Anurdh17 Rangpur divisional football tournament organized on the occasion of the youth festival organized with the theme "Come and change the country", the Gaibandha district team in boys' group defeated Kurigram district team by 4-2 goals in the tiebreaker and the Panchagarh district team in girls' group defeated Dinajpur district team by 4-3 goals in the tiebreaker and achieved the glory of becoming champions.
Additional Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Islam was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony among the winners after the game. The event, chaired by District Sports Officer Mohammad Asaduzzaman, was attended by Rangpur Superintendent of Police Abu Saim, Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (Crime) Shibli Kaiser, among others.
Boys and girls football teams from 8 districts of Rangpur division participated in the tournament organized by the Rangpur Divisional Administration and Sports Office.
