Operation Devil Hunt : Three arrested in Mongla by Coast Guard

The Coast Guard has arrested three people in an overnight operation in Mongla in the Operation Devil Hunt.
Lieutenant Commander Md. Siam-ul-Haq, Media Officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information on Thursday afternoon.
In order to maintain the current situation normal across the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued instructions to conduct joint forces' operation "Devil Hunt".
In continuation of this, on Thursday at 1 am, based on secret information, a joint operation was conducted in the Kanainagar area of Chandpai Union under Mongla Police Station by the Bangladesh Coast Guard West Zone BCG Base Mongla and the Bangladesh Navy. Hashem Fakir (48), Md. Sultan (65) and Gautam Mandal (35) were arrested from the said area in the operation.
It is learnt that all those arrested in the operation are leaders and activists of Awami League and Jubo League and there are multiple cases against them at the police station.
The arrested persons were later handed over to Mongla Police Station for legal action.
