A general meeting of Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners Association Sylhet Divisional Committee was held at the office in Shahjalal suburb of Sylhet city on Saturday.

Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners Association Sylhet Divisional Committee President Amiruzzaman Chowdhury presided over the meeting. In the speech of the president in the meeting, he said that despite the availability of gas in Greater Sylhet, there is a severe gas shortage in CNG filling stations due to discrimination. As a result, traders are not able to supply gas as per the demand of vehicles.

This leads to long queues of vehicles at CNG filling stations. Traders and car owners and drivers are facing losses due to gas crisis. He demanded the authorities to immediately increase the load of gas at the CNG stations in Sylhet. Besides, he appealed to the drivers not to take gas without testing all gas cylinders including expired ones in all types of vehicles in Sylhet division.

He also said that Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners Association is working to provide all kinds of facilities to the traders. This organization has been conducting all kinds of activities with the aim of enabling businessmen to run their business smoothly. So we all have to unite and make the activities of the organization more dynamic. In the meeting, various activities were taken to provide facilities to the traders.

The general secretary of the organization FF Mujibur Rahman Manik,joint general secretary Sajuwan Ahmad, senior member of the association Professor Sirajul Islam, organizing secretary Ali Afsar Fahim, finance secretary Faiz Uddin Ahmad, joint organizing secretary Subrata Dhar Bappi, Member Md. Huraira Iftar Hossain, Syed Saiful Islam, Ali Iftekhar Ahmad, Farhad Ali Imon, Md. Lokman Ahmad, Sir John Rasu, Nafiz Zubair Chowdhury, Harunu Rashid, Anhar Uddin, Md. Ali Sumon, Md. Zahidul Hasan, Aktarul Islam, Murad Ali Sumon, Md. Abdul Baten, Wali Mahmud and others spoke at the meeting.
