Police-Magistracy Conference waa organized by Judicial Magistrate Court in Barishal.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Mr. Md. Masudur Rahman presided over the meeting in Chief Judicial Magistrate Court building conference room on Saturday morning.

Senior District and Sessions Judge Mr. Sheikh Farooq Hossain spoke as the chief guest.

He said, nothing will stand in the way if the judiciary, police administration and public prosecutors work together to deliver a crime-free society. Sometimes there is a dilemma as to whether the police can be a witness or not. But many times the common people do not trust the police, in that case the magistrate will keep an eye on the matter. However, the police can be a witness in any case.

Senior officials of the administration were present in the meeting.

Speakers in the meeting said that the 'Police-Magistracy Conference' has created a bridge between the magistrates and all partner organizations including the police. Barriers will be removed through mutual discussion by all concerned involved. Ensuring people's right to justice will be facilitated through dialogue with all stakeholders in the judiciary. Identification and elimination of problems in issuing pending process of cases, ensuring attendance of witnesses in court, provision of security to witnesses during their visit to court, elimination of problems in search and investigation, timely appearance of defendants in pending cases from jail, confirmation of crokey warrant Tamil, court arena, judge and court.

Ensuring the safety of other officers and employees, timely presentation of evidence from the warehouse, ensuring mutual cooperation between the magistrate and the police, speeding up cases. Steps to be taken for settlement, timely dispatch of medical certificate as per the court's direction, various directions are given in the conference regarding problem and solution of important issues.
