Youth arrested for attempted rape of housewife in Sherpur

Police arrested a youth named Sabbir Hossain (20) for trying to rape a housewife in Sherpur upazila of Bogra.
It is known that yesterday Friday afternoon Sabbir Hossain, son of Abdus Salam of Ramnagar village of Garidah union of the upazila, a housewife of Kanupur village of the same union went to cut goat grass in the cropland. At this time, he found him alone and hugged him.
Later, knife held the housewife's throat and tried to rape her by touching the sensitive parts of her body showing various threats. When the housewife screamed and screamed, the rape failed and the lustful Sabbir Hasen ran away. Later that night, the housewife became the plaintiff and filed a case under section 9 (4) (b) of the Prevention of Torture against Women and Children Act of 2000 (Amendment 2003) at Sherpur Police Station. Case No. Case No.-04.
In this regard Sherpur police station officer in charge Ataur Rahman Khondkar said that a case of attempted rape has been registered. And the accused was arrested and sent to jail.
