Wooden bridge constructed as as charity for Khaleda Zia's recovery in Sandwip

A wooden bridge has been constructed as a charity for BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's speedy recovery at the initiative of Rafi Uddin Faisal, a candidate for the paddy sheaf symbol in Chittagong-3 (Sandwip) constituency and former joint general secretary of the Central Chhatra Dal.
The construction of the bridge was completed in Ward No. 3 of Muchapur Union after Friday prayers on November 28. Locals hope that this new wooden bridge will alleviate their long-standing suffering.
Local residents said that they had been suffering for many years due to the lack of a permanent bridge over this canal, which was the only hope for the transportation of about 500 families. Especially the movement of students, women, the elderly and patients was risky. This suffering would have increased further during the rainy season.
The construction of the bridge has brought relief to the locals. There was a joyful atmosphere among the locals during the inauguration. Several residents said, "The long-standing hardship has been alleviated. Now it will be easy to travel. Children will no longer have problems going to school." The locals also said that this initiative of Rafi Uddin Faisal Bhai for the welfare of the people is truly commendable. If such humanitarian work continues, the development of the area will accelerate further.
Leaders of local BNP and allied organizations were present at the inauguration ceremony. They offered special prayers for the health of Begum Khaleda Zia and expressed the hope that such public welfare initiatives will continue in the future.
Earlier, Rafi Uddin Faisal also completed the renovation of 11 roads in different areas of Sandwip on his personal initiative.
Rafi Uddin Faisal said, "People's prayers and satisfaction are my greatest strength. I have built this bridge as a charity for the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia. My main goal is that the people of the area can move comfortably. If I get the opportunity, I would like to keep myself involved in public welfare work in the future as well."
