“We no longer want to witness murder, extortion, or land grabbing in this country. Those involved in such destructive politics must be uprooted forever,” said Zahidul Islam, Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.

He stated that Bangladesh is a land of immense possibilities, and it is the youth who can lead the nation toward progress. Zahidul Islam made these remarks while addressing a Youth and Student Rally as the chief guest in Gaibandha.

The event was organized by the District Youth Wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Thursday noon at the Independence Square of Gaibandha.

The Shibir President further added that if the talented students of the country can be properly transformed into skilled human resources, Bangladesh can become a developed nation on the world stage.

The rally was presided over by Faisal Kabir Rana, President of the District Youth Wing and Assistant Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Gaibandha. Among others who spoke were former District Ameer Dr. Abdur Rahim Sarkar, Central Shura Member and District Ameer Md. Abdul Karim, District Secretary Maulana Zahurul Haque Sarkar, Naib-e-Ameer Prof. Majedur Rahman, Freedom Fighter Abdul Warech, Organizational Secretary Principal Maulana Nazrul Islam Lebu, Shibir Central Planning and Development Secretary Md. Riazul Islam, District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Syed Rokonuazzaman, and District Shibir President Ferdous Sarkar Rumman.

After the rally, a grand procession was brought out with the participation of Jamaat-e-Islami’s five nominated parliamentary candidates, marching through the main streets of the town.

Earlier in the morning, a freshmen reception and student career session were held at Gaibandha Government College.
