Victory Festival Celebrated at DU Salimullah Muslim Hall

On the occasion of the Victory Day, the Victory Festival was celebrated at Dhaka University Salimullah Muslim Hall with the theme of the July Uprising.
On this occasion, a discussion meeting, remembrance, folk music and a pleasant cultural program were organized in the hall premises on Monday evening.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan was present as the chief guest at the event.
Hall Provost Dr. Abdullah-Al-Mamun presided over the event, while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed and Treasurer Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury spoke as special guests. The convener of the festival celebration committee and resident teacher of the hall, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ruhul Amin delivered the welcome address at the function. The July student uprising was remembered by Raihan, a student of the hall, and Suraiya Akhtar, the daughter of martyr Kamal Miah, who was martyred in the uprising.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan said that the contribution of those whose sacrifices enabled us to get an independent country today is incomparable.
