Urban community volunteers meet with NCC Administrator

On the occasion of International Volunteer Day 2024, Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense organized the "Best Volunteer Award 2024" ceremony. Among the volunteers selected from across Bangladesh, Md. Sadam Hossain from Narayanganj district was recognized as the best volunteer.
On this occasion, on Wednesday at 11 AM, the award-winning Urban Community Volunteers paid a courtesy visit to Narayanganj City Corporation Administrator A.H.M. Kamruzzaman.
Present at the event were former councilor of Ward No. 15 Asit Baran Biswas, City Corporation Urban Planner Md. Moinul Islam, and past award-winning volunteers Md. Al Amin (Robin), Kazi Mahbub Alam (Joy), and Md. Shahadat Hossain (Simon).
Administrator A.H.M. Kamruzzaman appreciated the activities of the award-winning volunteers upon learning about their efforts. He assured that necessary steps would be taken to enhance their skills and create new volunteers.
Former councilor Asit Baran Biswas remarked, “Urban Community Volunteers in the district have been playing a commendable role in fire incidents, natural disasters, and social activities. Emphasis has been placed on forming a skilled volunteer team under the supervision of the City Corporation to tackle disaster situations effectively.
