UNO inaugurates national Vitamin A Plus campaign in Goalanda

A day-long national Vitamin 'A' Plus campaign has been inaugurated in Goalanda, Rajbari, organized by the Public Health Nutrition Institute and implemented by the Upazila Health Complex.
With an aim to ensure that not a single child is left out of the National Vitamin 'A' Plus Campaign, the activities will start from 8 am on Sunday at 96 centers in the upazila and will continue till 4 pm.
UNO Sathi Das officially inaugurated the National Vitamin Plus Campaign by administering Vitamin 'A' Plus capsules to children in the morning at the Upazila Health Office.
Also present at the time was Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Maruf Hasan.
Goalanda Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Maruf Hasan said, "In addition to preventing blindness, feeding vitamin A capsules ensures the normal growth of the child's body. It reduces the child mortality rate.
