A domestic pistol and a large quantity of domestic weapons were recovered from East Elisha Union of Bhola Sadar Upazila and two robbers were arrested in a joint forces operation

They were arrested from Ward No. 6 of East Elisha Union on Friday night. Contingent Commander Abu Bakr confirmed this information in a media briefing at the temporary office of the Navy on Saturday morning.

In a media briefing, District Commander Md. Abu Bakar said, "According to the instructions of the government, the Bangladesh Navy has been conducting regular joint operations to recover illegal weapons and eliminate terrorism under the 'In Aid to Civil Power'. In continuation of that, on the basis of secret information last morning, the navy contingent along with the police force of Bhola Sadar police station conducted an operation in the area called Rauder Hat in Ward No. 6 of Rajapur Union under Bhola Sadar Upazila. Md. Monir Hossain, a robber, arms dealer and extortionist and drug dealer Md. Russell were arrested in the operation. Based on the information of those arrested, 01 domestic revolver, 5 ram-da, 03 domestic creases, 01 drager, 02 ballam, 03 da, 01 whip, 01 Chinese hammer and 02 mobile sets were recovered. And it is also known that there are multiple cases in Bhola Sadar police station in the name of the arrested.

He also said that the process of handing over the arrested persons along with the seized goods to Bhola Sadar police station is underway for further legal action. It is to be noted that Bangladesh Navy's regular operations will continue to make Bhola district free of terrorism in order to implement the government's directives to create a welfare and public relations state.
