Two people died during Sri Sri Harinam ceremony at Domar

There was a stir due to the death of two persons during the Sri Sri Harinam Sankirtan ceremony at Doma Harinchada. One is Swapan Chandra Roy, aged twenty-four, and Jiten Das, aged 65.
The shocking incident took place during the 24-hour Sri Sri Mahanam Yajna ceremony at Jelepara (Daspara) of Harinchara Union of Nilphamari Domar Upazila on Monday (June 3) night.
The deceased have been identified as Swapan Chandra Roy son of Sanatan Ray of Dugdugi Baragacha Pukurpar area of Sonarai union, Jiten Das son of Karthik Das of North Akash Kudi village of Dimla Nautara union.
According to local sources, due to electricity loadshedding, the generator line has to be connected to SwapanHe got electrocuted and fell down on the ground after making the connection. Later, the witnesses quickly rescued him and took him to Nilphamari General Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead. Swapan, Hari was working as a generator mechanic on scaffolding during the Naam-sankirtan ceremony. Seeing the incident of Swapan, the person who came to listen to Harinam Sankirtan collapsed on the ground. Later, when he was taken to Domar Upazila Health Complex, the doctor there sent him to Rangpur Medical after seeing the condition of the patient. Later, Jiten Das also died under treatment at around 9 pm. In the event of such a death, a great sensation has been created in the Harinam Yajna ceremony.
Domar police station OC Mohsin Ali confirmed the incident and said that a UD case has been filed in connection with the electricity incident, the body has been handed over to the family after the other legal process.
