Two killed in collision between CNG, covered van in Narsingdi

Two passengers were killed in a collision between a CNG and a caravan van in Panchdona, Narsingdi.
The accident occurred in front of Bhatpara Bazar on the Panchdona-Tongi road on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Saidul Islam (22), son of Khorshed Alam of Antarampur area of Chardighaldi union in Narsingdi Sadar upazila, and Nur Uddin, son of Haris Molla of Matail Dakshin Para in Ashulia.
Police and eyewitnesses said that a CNG van carrying passengers left Gazipur for Narsingdi at 8 am today. After reaching Bhatpara Road in Panchdona at 9 am, a caravan van coming from the opposite direction collided with the back of the van. CNG passenger Nur Uddin died on the spot and Saidul Islam died on the way to the hospital. On receiving the information, Madhabadi Police Station recovered Nur Uddin's body and took the CNG driver into custody.
Madhabdi Police Station SI Md. Jasim said the body has been recovered and sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Further legal action will be taken after talking to the family of the deceased in this incident.
