Two drug delaers held with 10- kg marijuana, covered van in Lalmonirhat

Two drug dealers were arrested along with 10- kg of marijuana and a covered van in a DB operation in Lalmonirhat.
This special operation was carried out on the basis of secret information, under the direction of Lalmonirhat District Superintendent of Police Md. Tariqul Islam and led by DB OC Saad Ahmed, along with DB officer SI (retd) Amitabh Roy, accompanying officers and forces at 5:30 pm on Sunday.
At that time, Md. Faruk Mia (30), son of Md. Surman Ali and Md. Akash Ali (25), son of Md. Sujan Mia, both of Sreeftalata, Madhyapara, Thana- Shahjadpur, District- Sirajganj, were arrested from the paved road from Mogalhat to Zilla Parishad in front of a shop named Salman Telecom in Ward No. 1, Taluk Khutamara of Lalmonirhat Municipality under Lalmonirhat Police Station. 10 kg of ganja was recovered from inside a specially made hood with a planset in the front part of the roof of the rear door of Md. Faruk Mia's green and yellow covered van.
A case was registered against the arrested persons at Lalmonirhat Police Station under Section 36(1) of Table 19 (B)/38/41 of the Narcotics Control Act of 2018. The detainees were sent to jail.
