Torch procession in Jamalpur demanding cancellation of expired BNP committee

Leaders and activists held a torch procession in Jamalpur demanding the cancellation of the expired district BNP committee.
The procession started from Bakultala on Sunday evening and circled the main road of the city before ending at Dayamoyi intersection.
In a short rally organized there, former district BNP finance secretary Zakir Hossain, former district Krishak Dal general secretary Bishna Chandra Mandal, former district Chhatra Dal president Mahbubur Rahman Jilani, district Chhatra Dal vice-president Shahadat Hossain Sagar, joint general secretary Rana Mansion, youth leader Khairul Islam Lyon, former city BNP publicity secretary Sheikh Farid Mamun and others spoke.
The event was attended by city BNP deputy secretary Monir Hossain, ward 8 BNP joint general secretary Md. Firoz Ahmed, district JASAS organizing secretary Md. Akhtaruzzaman, district Sramik Dal member Khalid Hossain, former general secretary of Melandah Upazila Matsyajibi Dal Jahangir Alam, former general secretary of Melandah Upazila Chhatra Dal Ashek Elahi Joni, and leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations.
