With the aim of increasing transparency, accountability and mobility in administrative work, the training of Comilla University (CuC) teachers, officials on the establishment and implementation of D-documents (digital documents) has started. A two-day training workshop was inaugurated on Sunday at 9 am in the virtual class room of the university.

In the speech of the chief guest in the opening ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor said that the government is going to transform Digital Bangladesh into Smart Bangladesh, and 'D-document' has been launched in Cumilla University to involve paperless campus and office in the process of transforming Smart Bangladesh. Through which the officials of all levels related to university documents can complete paperless file processing and approval at any place, at any time. This will save time and paper and ensure transparency and accountability. Besides, work mobility will increase in administrative and academic fields. He called on everyone to take training in the use and implementation of D-documents in a fair and beautiful manner.

In the speech of the main speaker, Mohammad Shahidul Islam said that 18 universities of the country have been inaugurated by the Government of Bangladesh and UGC. Cumilla University has started work through 'D-document'. It may seem like a new thing at first but while working you will understand its necessity and effectiveness. With 'D-Document' all the labor intensive work you do will become easier. Can record work records automatically and deliver required information to offices in less time, with less effort. Now in digital era we are trying to do things digitally instead of thinking manually.
Mohammad NasirUddin, member secretary of the implementation committee of D-documents, said that the use of digital documents has started to remove the limitations of e-documents in Cumilla University. A few offices have already come under 'D-document'. The training workshop will continue for two days. In the first phase, 20 teachers and officers will receive the training. Through this we will be able to bring the entire administrative process under 'D-document'.

It may be noted that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has linked public universities with D-documents (digital documents) in the second phase as part of setting up paperless offices. In the first phase in February this year, eight public universities in the country and in the second phase in August, the D-document program was inaugurated in ten public universities.
