Baishski Celebrated in in Kalia

The first day of the Bengali New Year 1432 was celebrated in a festive atmosphere in Kalia upazila of Narail with colorful events and enthusiastic participation. With the theme "Let sorrow be erased, let decay be gone; may the earth be purified through the fire of renewal," the celebration began at 7:30 AM on Monday at the Kalia Upazila Parishad premises with an early morning musical session.
A vibrant rally was brought out from the Upazila Parishad compound, parading through the town’s main roads before returning to the starting point. The rally was graced by Kalia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Rasheduzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Kalia Police Station Md. Rashedul Islam, Upazila BNP President Sardar Anowar Hossain, General Secretary S.M. Wahiduzzaman Milu, Municipal BNP President Sheikh Selim Hossain, and Selim Reza Yusuf, along with other local political leaders and activists.
The event also saw the participation of child artists from the Upazila Shilpakala Academy, teachers and students from various educational institutions, guardians, members of the police, Ansar, fire service, and representatives from both print and electronic media.
To make the occasion more memorable, a cultural program was held featuring performances that reflected the rich history and traditions of Bengali New Year. Prizes were also distributed among the participants.
The people of Kalia welcomed the New Year in unity, embracing the spirit of togetherness and cultural pride.
