Tk 3. 21cr toll collection in 24-hr at Bangabandhu Bridge

To celebrate Eid-ul-Azha, the pressure of passenger vehicles has increased on the northern highway.More than twice the normal number of vehicles crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge in 24 hours.Toll collected is more than Tk 3 crore 21 lakh.
On Friday (June 14), the Bangabandhu Bridge authorities said that 40,906 vehicles crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge from last Wednesday at 12:00 pm to Thursday (June 13) at 12:00 pm.Total toll collected is 3 crore 21 lakh 97 thousand 300 taka.
The Executive Engineer of Bangabandhu Bridge Authority Ahsanul Kabir Pavel confirmed this information and said that during the normal time of the year, 18 to 20 thousand vehicles travel through Bangabandhu Bridge.
The number of vehicles crossed on the Eid journey and return Eid journey doubles to triple. About 41,000 vehicles have crossed in the last 24 hours.That is more than double.'
