Threats against Journalist Club President Sohanul Haq Parvez spark outrage in Tanore

Threats issued against Sohanul Haq Parvez, President of the Tanore Journalist Club Family (TSC) and Organizational Secretary of the Jatiya Sangbadik Sangstha, have sparked widespread outrage across Tanore upazila in Rajshahi district.
Local political figures and journalists reported that Mintu, the General Secretary of Ward 2 BNP , has been allegedly issuing threats while misusing the names of several senior local BNP leaders. Affected party officials noted that Mintu frequently cited former Tanore Upazila BNP Convener Akheruzzaman Hannan, former General Secretary Mofiz Uddin, former Mayor Mizanur Rahman Mizan, former Ward 6 Councillor Khalekuzzaman Khalek, and former Chhatra Dal President M A Malek Mondol to intimidate locals.
Leaders and activists of Tanore Upazila BNP and its associate organizations have strongly condemned Mintu's actions, demanding his immediate expulsion from the party alongside exemplary legal punishment for those involved in the intimidation tactics.
When contacted regarding the matter, Tanore Police Station OC Mahmudul Hasan confirmed that a formal complaint has been filed regarding the threats, adding that police are investigating the incident and will take strict legal action based on their findings.
