Rajshahi Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) arrested a member of a gang that sells stolen motorcycles by changing engine and chassis number in Rajshahi metropolis.

At that time, two stolen motorcycles were recovered. Arrested accused Md. Mohabbat Ali Royal (27). He is the son of Md Kawshar Ali of Keshabpur, Rajpara police station of metropolitans.

According to a press release of RMP on Wednesday afternoon, SI Md. Mizanur Rahman and his team were on duty to recover narcotics and stolen goods in the metropolitan area under the direction of Mir Md. Shafin Mahmud, Deputy Commissioner of Metropolitan Detective Police of the district on November 25 afternoon. At that time, they came to know on the basis of secret information that the accused Mohabbat Ali Royal with the help of 3-4 people has been selling stolen motorcycles engine and chassis number by changing the special technique. One such motorcycle is for sale at Charkhuta intersection of Kashiadanga police station in the city.

According to the source of the news, the DB police team arrested the accused Mohabbat Ali Royal with a stolen motorcycle from Charkhuta junction under Kashiadanga police station at 4.15 pm. Preliminary investigation revealed that Royal stole the motorcycle through some of his accomplices and sold it by changing its engine and chassis numbers.

They have been involved in buying and selling stolen motorcycles for a long time. There are multiple cases against Royal. Later, on the basis of the information given by him, the DB Police conducted an operation on November 25 at 1.45 pm and recovered a motorcycle from the middle Char of the Padma river in Char Mazhardiad village of Damkura police station.

A regular case has been registered against the arrested accused and his accomplices at Kashiadanga police station in the city.
