Bangladesh Jamaat-e- Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman Said, despite its political death, the Awami League's habits have not changed.They killed top Jamaat leaders by hanging them and keeping them in prison. But the peace-loving students and people of this country responded to their torture and torture through the July-August mass uprising.

He said,Jamaat wants to build a Bangladesh of equality, the dream of the students. Jamaat want to build a corruption-free Bangladesh and establish justice where people will get their rights whether they want them or not. He made such comments at the district Jamaat workers' Conference at Govt Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet on Friday this morning.

At that time, he said, there is an attempt to destroy the peace of the country. Everyone will have to unite to build the country. The Jamaat Ameer also said, we will never bow our heads to any evil force. Everyone is committed and united to protect the sovereignty of the country.

He said, The conspiracy of the fallen fascist forces to destroy religious harmony has strengthened national unity instead of division. All their conspiracies have been foiled. Jamaat did not bow down to any evil force, it only bowed down to Allah.

The result of which was the fall of the fascists in the mass uprising of the students and the public on August 5. We will not engage in extortion and corruption, nor will we allow anyone to do so. For this, we must build mass resistance everywhere by involving the public. We want to build a Bangladesh of equality, as dreamed by the students and the public.This country is a country of all people, regardless of religion or caste. We are grateful to the leaders of different religions for the historical role they have played in the issue of freedom and sovereignty. The neighboring country wanted to play the minority card to thwart the uprising of the students and the masses.

We have repeatedly said that we do not want any more division in this country in the name of minority-number gurus. The entire world has seen its reflection. The conspiracy to destroy religious harmony has strengthened national unity instead of division.

Central Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ahsanul Mahmub Jubayer, Dhaka North Jamaat Ameer Muhammad Selim Uddin, central executive member Professor Fazlur Rahman, Sylhet city Ameer Muhammad Fakrul islam spoke the meeting as special guest.

Sunamganj District Ameer Mawlana Tufayel Ahmed Khan, Moulvibazar District Ameer Engeneer Shahed Ali, Sylhet District Nayebe Ameer Professor Abdul Hannan, Hafij Anwar Hussain Khan,Habiganj District Jamaat Leader Mohsin Ahmed, Former Chairman of Dakshin Surma upazila Parished Mawlana Lukman Ahmed, Former Chairman of Fenchuganj upazila parished Saifullah AL Hussain, Former Chairman of Golapganj upazila parished Hafij Nazmul Islam,Vice Principle Syed Faizullah Bahar,Sylhet City Shibir Presided Sharif Mahmud,SUST Shibir Presided Tarek Monowar also spoke the meeting.

Earlier, Jamaat workers and supporters from different upazilas of the Sylhet district started coming to the conference venue since morning. By noon, the government Alia madrasa grounds were filled to the brim.
