SUST students announce hunger strike, demanding KUET VC resignation

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) students Polash Bakhtiar and Hafijul Islam have announced that they will go on a hunger strike to death to demand the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor of the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET).
They announced this in a post on the university's internal group on Facebook around 10:30 pm on Tuesday.
Polash Bakhtiar wrote in the post, "If the VC of KUET is not removed by tonight (Tuesday), I, Palash Bakhtiar, will sit on a hunger strike to death from tomorrow in full solidarity with the students of KUET who are on hunger strike."
Shortly after, another student named Hafijul Islam also announced the matter of sitting on a hunger strike on his Facebook ID in the same demand.
Earlier, 32 students of KUET have been on a hunger strike to death since Monday, demanding the removal of KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Masud.
