State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, Nurul Huq Nur, MP, has launched a digital crowdsourcing initiative to collect data on damaged and unpitched roads across his constituency, Patuakhali-3 (Dashmina-Galachipa), to expedite infrastructural planning.
The State Minister issued an open call on his personal Facebook page on Thursday (July 9), urging local residents to send photos, locations, and descriptions of dilapidated dirt tracks, worn-out semi-paved roads, or areas requiring new brick or asphalt carpeting directly to his team.
In his social media post, Nurul Huq Nur requested citizens to specify the area and union names alongside the road images and send them via WhatsApp. He also shared a dedicated contact number (01756085649) belonging to an aide, Abu Naim, for local residents to communicate regarding any public issues within the Patuakhali-3 constituency.
Commenting on the unique public-engagement initiative, State Minister Nurul Huq Nur said, "We have taken this step to gather direct, grassroots data from residents about the condition of various roads in my constituency. This collaborative effort will help us map out an authentic picture of the broken road networks and prioritize paving where it is most urgently needed. I highly appreciate the cooperation of the local community in transforming our regional infrastructure."
