Attempt to push 4 people at Dinajpur border, foiled by BGB
Dinajpur Correspondent
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have foiled an attempt by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) to push four citizens, including a woman, across the Dainur border in Dinajpur Sadar Upazila. At that time, the BGB sent them back to the zero line.
The BGB has called for a flag meeting on this incident, but so far there has been no response from India's BSF.
The BGB said that around 5:30 am on Saturday, four people, including a woman, were entering Bangladesh through Main Pillar No. 315 of the Akirapur Dainur border in Kamalpur Union of Sadar Upazila. At that time, the BGB stopped them after seeing the matter. As a result, they could not enter Bangladesh anymore. The four people who were pushed in have been kept at the zero line of Dainur BOP. One of the four people is a woman and three are men. One of the men is disabled.
Phulbari 29 BGB commander Lt. Col. Mohammad Arif Uz-Zaman confirmed the matter.
He said that a letter has been sent to the BSF for a flag meeting on behalf of the BGB.
