One of the main goals of Sreepur Municipal BNP is to send party candidate to parliament in the upcoming national elections and to accelerate public involvement.

In addition, there are various steps including increasing party discipline, involving grassroots workers more in public-friendly activities. This information was obtained by talking to several leaders and activists of the municipal BNP.

Municipal BNP member secretary Md. Billal Hossain Bepari said that the convening committee of the municipal BNP has been formed within the stipulated time in accordance with the party's policies.

The party has always practiced democracy. The supervision of Gazipur District BNP and the wishes of grassroots leaders and activists have been reflected in this committee. This committee will play a special role in electing District BNP No. 1 Joint Convenor Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam Bachchu from Gazipur-3 constituency on behalf of BNP in the upcoming national elections.

Anwar Hossain Bepari, joint convener of the committee, said that on the instructions of Deshnayek Tareque Rahman, the party's announced public welfare works are being given priority. A multifaceted agenda has been taken to encourage grassroots leaders and activists. The party is mobilizing the participatory work of grassroots leaders and activists more than before. This committee will work with the support of Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam Bachchu, the joint health secretary of the BNP central committee in the National Assembly.

Another member of the committee and former joint organizing secretary of the municipal BNP, Emdad Hossain Mondal, said that the Sreepur municipal BNP committee has gained acceptance from the grassroots leaders and activists. This committee has already started to prove its worth by performing its duties properly for the greater welfare of the party in the coming days.

Most recently, a 41-member Sreepur municipal BNP committee was formed with veteran politician Md. Humayun Kabir Sarkar as the convener and Md. Billal Hossain Bepari as the member secretary.

Besides , senior leaders Maulana SM Ruhul Amin, Abul Munsur Mondal, Abul Hossain Prodhan, Prof Rafiqul Islam, Sharif Md. Siddique, Saiful Haque Molla, Rezaul Karim Khokon, Ainul Haque Akand and other leaders have been included as members in the municipal BNP committee. In addition to other work as per the party policy, the convening committee will continue the necessary activities to form the next full-fledged committee under the supervision of district and top local leaders, the top leaders of the committee also said.
