Sonali Bank CBA demands regularisation of 1400 employees
A rally of temporary employees from all over the country was held in front of the Sonali Bank head office led by Sonali Bank Employees Association (B-664) CBA, demanding permanent employment of more than 1400 temporary employees working at Sonali Bank on Tuesday.
Joint General Secretary Md. Al Amin Sheikh (Babul) and Joint General Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam spoke at the rally, calling for the immediate permanent employment of temporary employees for purely humanitarian reasons. Mamun Sarkar Tota, Muzaffar Hossain, Nahid Shato, Sirajuddin, Ratan and others spoke on behalf of the temporary employees.
The bank's Managing Director and CEO, Md. Shawkat Ali Khan, listened to the employees' statements with great attention and assured them of taking immediate steps to make all temporary employees permanent, relieving the frustration of the long-neglected and deprived employees, and urged everyone to fulfill their respective responsibilities in the interest of the bank.
