PRAB new committee : Yahia Mirza President, Nazrul Islam General Secretary
Yahia Mirza and Nazrul Islam have been elected as the new President and General Secretary, respectively, of the Public Relations Association of Banks (PRAB), an organization representing public relations officials in Bangladesh's banking sector.
Yahia Mirza currently serves as the Head of PR & Media at City Bank PLC, while Nazrul Islam leads the Public Affairs and Brand Communication Division at Dutch-Bangla Bank.
The new leadership was announced on Thursday
during a networking session held at a hotel in Gulshan, Dhaka. PRAB's founding General Secretary, Moniruzzaman Tipu, declared the names of the new leaders in the presence of founding President Ataur Rahman, outgoing President Shamsuddoha Shimu, outgoing General Secretary Jalal Ahmed Swapon, and other senior members.
Established in 2011 to unite brand and communication officials from banks across the country, PRAB is typically managed by a 33-member executive committee formed for a two-year tenure. Moniruzzaman Tipu said, the full 33-member executive committee will be finalized at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November.
Over 200 public relations officials from various scheduled banks and financial institutions attended the event, which was hosted by Bonik Barta.
