Social media propaganda against two labour leaders of Sadat Jute Mills protested in Cumilla

Workers and employees of Sadat Jute Industries Limited formed a human chain in Debidwar, Comilla, on Tuesday to protest against social media propaganda targeting two elected labour leaders, General Secretary Mamunur Rashid and Sports Secretary Sohel Rana Shuvo.
Demonstrators claimed that fake social media accounts are spreading AI-generated videos and misleading content to tarnish the personal and organizational reputations of the leaders.
The human chain demanded an end to the propaganda, a fair and impartial investigation into any formal complaints, and legal action against those misusing technology to spread fake content.
Speakers urged that any grievances be submitted in writing to proper authorities for verification rather than aired publicly without proof. Statements from the accused individuals or third parties regarding the social media claims were not immediately available.
