Signatures in attendance register despite absence: State Minister for Land expresses displeasure over N'ganj Land Office irregularities

State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Helal discovered a shocking scenario where employees signed the attendance register in advance despite being absent from the office.
During a surprise inspection of the Narayanganj Sadar Land Office on Monday morning, the state minister caught these irregularities and widespread mismanagement red-handed.
Arriving at the Narayanganj Sadar Land Office in his official vehicle at 8:55 AM on Monday, the state minister toured the Sadar, Fatullah Circle, and Siddhirganj Circle offices housed under the same roof. However, during the sudden visit, the state minister found that most senior officials and employeesincluding the Assistant Commissioners (Land) for all three circles—were absent from their workstations, with only one or two staff members present.
Expressing deep displeasure at the extreme mismanagement observed while walking around the office, the minister reviewed the attendance log and found that several absent employees had already signed the register for the previous day. Approximately 26 minutes later, at 9:21 AM, Additional District Commissioner (Rev) Rinat Fauzia arrived at the office, and State Minister Barrister Mir Helal presented the entire picture of irregularities before her
