Promptly addressing the grievances and expectations of citizens in the Dhaka-13 constituency, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education and local Member of Parliament Bobby Hajjaj has initiated measures to halt the illegal operation of battery-powered rickshaws to ease traffic congestion.
During a town hall meeting held in the Dhaka-13 constituency on Saturday, local residents raised complaints regarding severe traffic gridlocks and the unrestricted movement of battery-powered rickshaws in the area. Taking the citizens' concerns into serious consideration, the state minister instructed the relevant authorities to take immediate action.
In pursuance of the minister's directives, authorities launched a clampdown today targeting battery-powered rickshaws and establishments involved in illegal battery charging. A large number of battery-powered rickshaws were evicted during the drive, and illicit charging equipment and electrical connections were dismantled.
Highlighting the importance of swift and effective steps based on citizen feedback, State Minister Bobby Hajjaj said, "Town hall meetings are not merely gatherings to listen to grievances; they serve as an effective platform to identify citizens' problems and resolve them promptly.
