Seeds, chemical fertilizers distributed among farmers in Bamna

Free seeds and chemical fertilizers have been distributed among 3,000 small and marginal farmers in Bamna, Barguna on Monday.
Under the agricultural incentive program aimed at increasing cultivation and production of high-yielding Aus paddy in the Kharif-1 2024–2025 season, the distribution took place at the Bamna Upazila Parishad premises. The chief guest at the free distribution of seeds and fertilizers was Bamna Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mosammat Nikhat Ara.
Presided over by Upazila Agriculture Officer Mosammat Farzana Tasmin, the event was attended by Bamna Press Club President Abu Naser Siddiq Golam Kibria and others.
Each of the 3,000 small and marginal farmers from the upazila’s four unions received 5 kg of Aus paddy seeds, and 10 kg each of MOP and DAP fertilizers. On this occasion, the agriculture officer provided the attending farmers with comprehensive advice on increasing production.
