
Rod-laden truck looted, two arrested in Ashulia

Police arrested two people for their alleged involvement in robbing a truck in Savar's Ashulia area. According to their information, the looted rod has been recovered.
The two accused were produced before the court from Ashulia police station in the afternoon. They were arrested on Saturday night.
According to the police, in the early morning of March 8, a group of people wearing DB police jackets stopped a truck at Ashulia's Kabirpur intersection on the Nabinagar-Chandra highway. At that time, the hijackers took the driver and his accomplice hostage and fled with the 14-tonne rod-laden truck and dropped the driver and his accomplice in Golra area of Manikganj. A case was filed with Ashulia Police Station in this connection. Later, police arrested Anwar Hossain and Nure Alam for their alleged involvement in the incident. Based on their information, the stolen rods were recovered.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Savar Circle) Sahinur Kobir Confirming the matter,
said, arrested will be sent to the court asking remand. Efforts are underway to arrest remain those who involved in the incident.
