
RMP organizes Iftar Mahfil

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) organized a Doa and Iftar Mahfil on Wednesday.
This religious program was organized at every police station, outpost, DB, traffic unit and other branches including RMP Police Lines.
The main program organized at Police Lines was attended by Police Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Mohammad Abu Sufian, DIG of Rajshahi Range Mohammad Shahjahan, PPM (Bar), PhD and Honorable Superintendent of Police of Rajshahi District Farzana Islam.
At the beginning of the program, the Holy Quran was recited and special prayers were held for the peace, prosperity and welfare of the country and the nation. In his speech, the Police Commissioner discussed the importance of the holy month of Ramadan, the lessons of restraint and self-purification and urged everyone to reflect these lessons in their lives.
After the prayer, iftar was organized for the police members present. Off-duty police members participated in the prayer and iftar in their respective units. In addition, iftar was delivered to the police members engaged in emergency services, security and traffic duties at their workplaces. About 3,000 people, including all the police members and civil staff of RMP, participated in this grand event.
Everyone expressed their opinion that through such an arrangement, the sense of brotherhood and religious values have been strengthened among the police members.
