196 officials promoted to joint secretary

The government has promoted 196 deputy secretaries to the rank of joint secretary.
In this regard, two separate notifications were issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
However, the ministry said in a notification – issued for 194 officials – that if an officer's office or workplace mentioned in the promotion order has already changed, he/she must submit a joining letter mentioning the name and address of their current office.
If any adverse or contradictory information about an officer is found later, the authorities reserve the right to make necessary amendments or revoke the order, it said.
The promoted officers may submit their joining letters directly to the ministry’s senior secretary or via email (sa1@mopa.gov.bd).
The order was issued in the public interest and would come into effect immediately, read the notification.
