On the occasion of Great Victory Day 2023 on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., Zilla Parishad Chairman Angswipru Chowdhury said this in the president's speech at the ceremony to felicitate the brave freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters of Rangamati held at the cultural institute auditorium of Minorities.

President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food Ministry Dipankar Talukder MP was present as the chief guest in the event. Rangamati Additional District Commissioner Md Saiful Islam, Hero Freedom Fighter Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, Hero Freedom Fighter Haji Kamal Uddin, Zilla Parishad Executive Officer Nuruddin Mohammad Sibley Noman, District Primary Education Officer Hrishikesh Sheel, Public Health Engineering Directorate Parag Barua, Zilla Parishad members participated as special guests. etc.

Later, the families of the 5 martyred freedom fighters of Rangamati were given 5 thousand taka and 2 thousand taka to the brave freedom fighters and their families.

Meanwhile, Rangamati District Administration, Rangamati Hill District Council, Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board paid tributes by offering floral wreaths at Rangamati Central Shaheed Minar and Burighat Birshrestha Munsi Abdur Rauf memorial in the first hour of the Great Victory Day.

On the occasion of great Victory Day-2023 on December 16, a colourful parade and display exhibition was held at Ching Hla Mong Mari Stadium organized by the Rangamati Hill District Administration with the participation of law and order forces and various educational institutions. Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan and District Superintendent of Police Mr. Mir Abu Tauhid, BPM (Bar) were present on the occasion.

At the beginning of the program in the morning, the honorable Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati Deputy Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan and Superintendent of Police of Rangamati Hill District Mr. Mir Abu Tauhid, BPM (Bar) inaugurated the program by flying national flag, balloons and pigeons.
