Rally, gathering held in Begumganj to prevent theft, robbery, drugs

A special anti-drug rally and gathering was held in Begumganj, Noakhali, to prevent theft, robbery, mugging, drugs, terrorism, eve-teasing and juvenile gang crimes.
The event was organized by the people of all walks of life of No. 4 Alaiyarpur Union and with the overall support of Begumganj Model Police Station.
Noakhali District Superintendent of Police N M Nasiruddin was present as the chief guest at the gathering. Begumganj UNO Md. Kayesur Rahman was present as the special guest. Begumganj Model Police Station OC Shamsuzzaman, Begumganj Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mohammad Zahirul Islam were present as the special guest.
Speakers at the event issued a stern warning against the social evils of drugs, terrorism, eve-teasing and teenage gangs in the area and urged the local people to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order. Local dignitaries and the general public were present at the event.
