Rally, discussion held on National Local Government Day in Jaldhaka

A rally and discussion meeting was held on the occasion of National Local Government Day at Jaldhaka in Nilphamari on Tuesday morning.
On the occasion, a colourful rally was held from the Upazila Parishad Square at the initiative of the upazila administration.
The rally circled the main main roads of the town and a discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad Conference room.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zaid Imrul Mojakkin presided over the meeting and
Upazila Agriculture Officer Sumon Ahmed, Livestock Resources Officer Sumi Begum, Municipal Secretary Ashrafuzzaman, Assistant Education Officer Anwar Kabir, Press Club President Kamaruzzaman and other government officials spoke at the meeting.
Speakers in the discussion meeting said that by celebrating the National Local Government Day, it will be possible to make local government institutions democratic and more people-oriented. Public participation will pave the way for institutional and financial self-reliance. Grassroots level public involvement will be further increased.
